“Reality is above all else a variable and nobody is qualified to say that he or she knows exactly what it is. As a matter of fact, with a firm enough commitment, you can sometimes create a reality which did not exist before.”
Novelist, Margaret Halsey
Your action for today is to stop for five minutes, close your eyes and visualize in detail where you’d like to see yourself in two years — make a commitment to take this time at least two times a week.
“Anything for which a person is not responsible can effect—make an effect of that person. Any time he’s not responsible for something, it can affect him.
“He’d say, ‘Well, I’m not responsible.’ Supposing we were driving down the street in a car and he said, ‘Well, I’m not responsible for what this car is doing.’ He just took his hands off the wheel. Boy, it can sure have an effect on him, right then and there.
“If somebody is talking along and they’re talking about this and that and so on, he doesn’t stand up for a friend of his, he says, ‘Well, it has no effect upon me. I mean, I’m not responsible for that. That fellow is just talking. I’m not responsible for it. It isn’t any responsibility of mine what that fellow is saying about this friend of mine. I’m just standing here.’
“Oh, boy. His friend hears about that one of these fine days, and it has an effect upon him! But it’s whenever he abandons control of space, energy or objects—whenever he abandons control of these three things, he’s asked them to command him. He’s saying, ‘I can’t control them.’
“And what do they say? They say, ‘Hmm, raw meat! We can control him.’”
