The Magna Carta 800th – The River Relay needs not just rowers and paddlers, but Charter Bearers, who will help to carry the ideals and legacy of Magna Carta down the River Thames.
Each nominee selected will be aboard the Royal Shallop Jubilant on one of the legs of her journey from Hurley to Runnymede on Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 June 2015. They will be carrying a copy of the charter to pass on at the next stopping point. We are seeking at least seven people, but there is opportunity for a few more, to share this role. They will be playing a key part in marking the historic occasion as well as participating in the vibrant colour and pageantry of the River Relay.
